The Confident Eater

Tell us about your business:

I work with parents to return the joy and fun to food and support them to get their picky eaters eating. I also run workshops, speak, and do PD for organisations that work with children. I have two books that enable parents to gently work through eating challenges at home, in their own time.

What is your WHY?

My mission statement is to ensure that all children can approach food from a place of safety and joy, not fear. It should keep me busy for a while!!

What brought you to this point in your career?

Having a passion for nutrition for children and realising that so many parents were struggling with picky eating and yet there was so little support.

What is the best thing about owning your own business?

I’m in charge of my own destiny. Also, that the sky is the limit – tomorrow I could wake up and have an order for 10,000 books or a request to go on Oprah!

What is the hardest part?

Always being on. No rest for the wicked.

What do you do when you’re lacking motivation?

Pick something from the ‘to do list’ to tackle, and push through.

How do you manage the juggle?

Sometimes better than others!

How does MIB Networking impact your business?

So far it has given me more marketing reach and new clients.

Tell us two little known facts about you:

1. I’ve lived long-term in 7 different countries.
2. I have a British Standard Time in swimming.

What are you passionate about?

Changing the way society views food for children.

Who do you admire?

Strong women who aren’t afraid to stand up. Eleanor Roosevelt, Angela Merkel, Jacinda Ardern.

Will you still be doing this in 10 years?

As I’m only just now qualifying as a Psychologist, I hope so!

How can we reach you?
