MIB is where you belong if you are a mum and you want to have a business network of like-minded and empathetic professional women who will become your advocates, advisors, supporters and friends!

Business networking is about building relationships, and through each members commitment to give more than they ask, word of mouth referrals (the best type!) will help you grow your business.

Because we’re all mums, we all understand the juggle of business and family, and the MIB culture and values are aligned with this.

Please read the “Our Culture” page to get an overview of our core values.

If you identify as a mother, as far as we’re concerned, you’re a mum!  You could be a step mother, a grandmother, a foster mother, a transgender mother or a mother in the biological sense.  The only mums that don’t qualify are Fur Baby Mums.

At MIB we clarify this by saying you are a decision maker or stakeholder in a business.  This means you may own your own business, you may represent a family business, or you may be paid a commission.  Please email if you want clarification around your situation.

Yes.  Only one of each type of profession is allowed per group.  For example, one Mortgage Broker, one Lawyer, one Travel Broker etc.  There will be situations where two of a type of profession can be in the same group, such as a Residential Real Estate Agent and a Commercial REA or a Home & Contents Insurer and a Life, Medical & Income Insurer, but there must be no direct cross-over.

Our meetings all follow the same structure – every fortnight each member gives us their one-minute ‘elevator pitch’, and two ladies will deliver a ten minute talk.   From time to time there will be a guest speaker.

Whilst our meetings are formal and structured, there is also ‘open forum time’ on our agenda which is extremely valuable for our members.  We share tips and ideas, offer advice and celebrate each other’s wins.  From pricing to marketing, and everything in between – if its business related this is the place to get invaluable feedback.

No, because the Multi Level Marketing model is quite niche, and works in a different way to other businesses we have found them not to fit our model.
